Our big news this time is a landmark series of product releases:
- A powerful and industry-leading GPT-integration to instantly capture the nuance of human language responses at scale
- Fully automated longitudinal tracking (over time) of evolving top-of-mind awareness, sentiment, and emotion about brands, products, and issues
- Crosstabs functionality to allow users to dynamically sort all of the data in our dashboard by any demographic or behavioral audience attribute
All of these projects have been in the works for a while so it’s a bit of a happy accident that they’re all being released to Glimpse clients during a single month!
The Glimpse take on AI:
The dominant story of 2023 for marketers, communicators, content creators, and researchers has been the rise of Generative AI.
Here at Glimpse we’re also strong believers in the potential of AI to revolutionize the economy. In fact, long before ChatGPT fever, we were already working on a custom NLP (Natural Language Processing) model to help our users understand–and then extract actionable insights from–human language responses to open-ended survey questions.
But we fear that the AI revolution has the potential to head in the wrong direction.
Much of the excitement and anxiety about ChatGPT in business has to do with whether or not AI will replace humans and take their jobs. And the stunning achievements of Generative AI are usually benchmarked relative to the performance of individual humans on tasks like the LSAT, the American law school entrance exam.
What if we should be thinking less about how Generate AI can replace humans and more about how it can augment human teams to add maximum value?
That’s the mindset we brought to our own industry-leading GPT integration. Our question was never about how to replace human marketers, communicators, content creators, and researchers. Rather it was about making the capabilities of Generative AI as simple, useful, and applicable as possible for our clients, to help them get better at their jobs, support their teams, and accelerate their organizations’ growth.
So we thought about how we could harness the power of GPT-4 to help our users with the most important task facing any business: understanding their customers, employees, stakeholders, and audiences better. Paradoxically, relying more on Generative AI in this context can actually supercharge human understanding and connection.
